JI Course 106: EVEN BETTER AFTER 50:
How to Become and Remain WELL IN BODY, WISE IN MIND & WHOLE IN SPIRIT in the Second Half of Life
Wellness is much more than physical; it's psychological and spiritual as well. This course gives you an entirely new appreciation of living a vital and vitalizing life regardless of age and physical condition.
This course goes far beyond simple “health practices” (diet, exercise, etc.) for better health, it teaches how to harness psychological power, and spiritual strength to remain as totally healthy in body, mind, and spirit as possible. The course has three parts:
I. Achieving Lifelong Wellness ................. BODY
Wellness has clear attitudinal qualities; it's not simply the absence of disease. Health is a very personal thing, a state of thriving, not simply surviving. Wellness means adding life to your years, not simply years to your life!
II. Mastering the Art of Living Wisely ......... MIND
Being wise means that the Lifelong Faith Learner has developed methods for approaching life that allows her or him to think clearly, accurately, and rationally about themselves and about others, and consequently able to make wise life decisions.
III. Discovering the Pathways to Wholeness ..... SPIRIT
Wholeness refers to a state of personal integration: optimal spirituality and health. When a person is whole, she or he has personal integrity, all the pieces of their life are cohesively held together by unifying principles. There is a transcendent quality to these Lifelong Faith Learning Adults.
The course teaches you the necessary knowledge and equips you with the tools so you can teach the course on your own.
Students are certified to use the "Well, Wise & Whole Profile" (WWWP), a faith development assessment tool that generates a 20-page picture of body, mind, and spirit strengths and possible weaknesses on their road to optimal spirituality and health.
NOTE: Students are not to be considered "Healers" or "Health Practitioners" in any formal sense.
